Hello! I’m Sarah Ehler and I’m primarily a center-back from the class of 2024. I have played at the RCL Premier level for the past 8 years and the 2023 season will be my 9th year total. Over the course of my soccer journey I have played every single position but center-back stands out the most. With that being said, the past two seasons I played as a holding-midfielder and even recently a little bit of center-forward. I’m a hard worker in everything I do, so while these position changes were difficult I gave it my all on the field. I’m learning to love my mistakes and set backs because they are all apart of the process. I attend Gig Harbor High School and at the end of my sophomore year I was class rank 32 out of 375. My current cumulative GPA is a 3.977 with my only A- being in AP Chemistry. I enjoy math and hope to possibly pursue a major that incorporates that field. During my sophomore season for Gig Harbor Lady Tides Varsity I was named Honorable Mention for the 3A All League teams and awarded MVP Varsity Defense by my teammates. That year we also finished first in league, first in districts, and fourth in the 3A State Tournament. I will forever be grateful for that season because it showed me how to balance academics and athletics and it allowed to build incredible friendships. Another Sport I play is Golf, which teaches me patience and the importance of practice. My first season playing I was on Varsity and qualified all the way up to the second day of districts. What sets me apart is my attitude, willingness to get better, and my grit. I have been a team captain for the past 5 years (for a variety of teams) and I love lifting up my teammates. Not to mention I’ll always get up one more time than I go down, and i’ll do it with eagerness to try again.
